Contact Lenses

Whether you are nearsighted, farsighted, have astigmatism, or need bifocals, we can usually meet your vision requirements and improve your quality of life with contact lenses. Choosing contact lenses over eyeglasses can increase your quality of vision and comfort, improve your peripheral vision, and provide more freedom of movement during sports and other activities.

Advances in contact lens materials and technologies mean that most people can successfully be fitted for contact lenses. If you were told that you couldn’t wear contact lenses in the past because of astigmatism, the need for reading glasses or dry eye, you may be able to wear them today. We offer a wide range of lens modalities, such as daily, two-week, monthly and yearly wear, from a wide range of companies. We are also experienced with rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses. If you are considering contact lenses, we will gladly answer any questions you may have, and make the appropriate recommendations.

We are also fitting a new contact lens for children that helps slow down the rate of myopia (i.e. near-sightedness) progression. These daily lenses, called Proclear MiSight, can be fit on children as young as 8 years old. Studies have shown they slow myopia progression by up to 59%.
