A note on OHIP coverage:
Children under 20 and seniors over 65 are covered under OHIP for a full eye examination every 12 months. Partial examinations addressing a specific complaint for these age groups are also covered anytime following a full eye exam. Since a change in legislation in 2004, Adults aged 20-64 are not covered under OHIP for eye examinations, though some medical conditions (eg. diabetes) are still eligible for OHIP coverage.
